Form Follows Construction;
Often unconsciously, this statement is the reoccurring principle in much of my work.
Central to any project is always ‘how?’, and the method by which an object is constructed becomes its defining feature. For this reason the final product rarely deviates much from the first sketch.
Typical expectations of structure and form are subtly reconfigured and redesigned in hope of quietly surprising the viewer.
The results, though not intentionally minimal, have a formal simplicity born out of a careful refinement and interdependency of individual elements.
